2/25/2024 0 Comments Reshade 3.0.7 download![]() I recommend spending the time to go through and download any shaders you need now, and backing them up, and keeping a note of the url so you can direct people to those shaders in the future.Reduced the effect as much as possible without making the AO negligible. This is still a slightly frustrating way to go about finding old shaders, but in absence of an official repository that makes it easy (like the one for the binaries), it’s the best we have. So, for example, if 3.0.7 was released on the 20th of January (I’m using this as an example, I haven’t checked when it was released), and you want the shaders for 3.0.6, you would look for the last commit to the shaders on or before 19th January. To find the most up-to-date set of shaders for your preferred version, look for the date in the release thread of the next version, then cross-reference on github for the last commit directly before that date. You can browse release dates for versions on the forum here. To do the same for other past versions of ReShade, you’ll need the dates that version was the main one, so you can search using the above method and find the full shader repo. Otis over at the ReShade forum explained how to do it for me here. INFO: If you’re like me and technically illiterate when it comes to github it’s not immediately apparent how to navigate to previous versions. Now when you need to install ReShade 3.4.1 again you can always have the appropriate shaders. ![]() Save them somewhere memorable and keep them backed up. Click on ‘Clone or Download’ and select ‘Download ZIP’. I recommend spending time reading through that thread to see if there is any more useful stuff, or if anything changes in the future.ĮDIT : Here is a link to the last official set of shaders for 3.4.1. I got this information from this post by Otis. You’ll need to do this for every section that has ‘slider’ instead of ‘drag’, in every shader file that has those controls.Īnd if it works, MAKE BACKUPS AFTERWARDS so you don’t lose them again. You’ll see the line ui_type = “slider” – if you change ‘ slider’ to ‘ drag’, and save, it should bring back the controls you’re used to. These are the settings that control how the UI is displayed for that shader in-game. ![]() This is taken from the lumasharpen shader. Ui_tooltip = “Strength of the sharpening” fx and are found in the shaders folder I recommend opening them with Notepad++) you’ll see various sections near the top that look a little bit like this: When you open a shader file (they end with. It’s a very simple process, but if you don’t feel comfortable doing it your only options are to find old versions of the shaders, or to upgrade to 4.x. ![]() NOTE 2: This fix requires you to open the shader files individually and edit them. NOTE 1: I haven’t tested this because I haven’t upgraded yet, and I still have backed-up 3.x shaders (which, incidentally, you should always do yourself to avoid these problems in the future – get into the habit now) – so be aware I’m just relaying what I’ve read in the forum. If I’m reading the forum correctly, it looks like there is a way to fix this if you don’t have old 3.x shaders to fall back to (and if you don’t want to install ReShade 4.x). ReShade 3.x didn’t have this slider functionality, so when it encounters it in the shader file it can’t process it, and more often than not simply misses out that part of the effect so it doesn’t show up in the gui nor in your preset. The difference is that values that were controlled by ‘dragging’ the mouse in 3.x now instead use a ‘slider’. This means that if you’re using ReShade 3.x with these new shaders (which you will be doing if you reinstall 3.x and have it download the shaders from github again) you might find error messages or that some of the settings you’re used to seeing have disappeared. Now ReShade 4.x is released, the default way that shaders let you alter values has also changed.
