Once I did this, I was able to fully reengage the mode link without receiving a TES system fault. Later, I took this one step further and reset the bike to factory settings - and then reentered my preferences. The bike appeared to operate normally as long I manually reset the preload and rebound (via the TFT) to match the riding mode I wanted to use. Prior to the shock being replaced, I disconnected the mode link, and the TES warning went away. It took about six weeks for a new shock to arrive. A new shock was ordered/replaced under warranty. They both talked with Triumph, and Triumph agreed/authorized the replacement. ![]() I had the bike checked out by two separate Triumph dealers, and both agreed the shock needed replacement. I experienced the above Electronic System Suspension Error after disconnecting my smart charger. Triumph replaced the rear shock on my 2020 Tiger 900 GT Pro (under warranty) due to this TES System Fault. DTCs can be removed at any time using the Triumph diagnostic tool. The number of ignition switch cycles required to restore normal operation will always be less than the number required to remove a DTC from the suspension ECM memory. Any fault codes will remain in the suspension ECM memory until the required number of no-fault ignition switch cycles have taken place. Similarly, if a fault clears, the suspension ECM also records this fact and will extinguish any warning lights or instrument messages and restore normal operation to the affected system, when sufficient no-fault ignition switch cycles have taken place. A confirmed fault may be indicated by the effected system(s) simply becoming inoperative, or by the illumination of a system warning light and/or instrument warning message. When the system detects a fault, it begins to count the number of times the fault occurs before confirming the fault and storing a fault code. The codes are reported to the Triumph diagnostic tool as a four digit code. ![]() For those interested (from the service manual page 324):ĭiagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are logged in the Suspension ECM memory when there is a confirmed fault in the system.
